The Bed Guard — shielding canopy

A silver-coated conductive canopy that drapes over a bed or cot, reducing the radio-frequency energy reaching the space beneath it. Available in three sizes.

How to get the performance it is capable of

A canopy is an enclosure only to the extent that it is closed. Attenuation depends on complete draping with no significant gaps, and on the canopy reaching the floor or being tucked beneath the mattress. An open or partially draped canopy will pass signal.

Shielding also does nothing about sources already inside the enclosed space. A phone on the bedside table, or a baby monitor inside the canopy, is inside the shielded area — the canopy does not affect it.

Safety information

If using over an infant sleeping space, follow standard safe-sleep guidance. The canopy must be secured so that no fabric can reach into the cot, gather, or become accessible to the child, and it must not restrict airflow around the sleeping area. Check the suspension point and fabric position before every use. If you are unsure, do not use it over a cot.

Care

Hand wash or delicate cold cycle. No bleach, no fabric softener. Air dry. Do not iron — heat damages the conductive coating.
