Testing & Certification
The Science Behind Our Products
At The Faraday Co., scientific integrity is the foundation of everything we create. We take a meticulous, evidence-based approach to ensure our products offer unmatched protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic pulses (EMP).
Independent Laboratory Testing
To verify the performance of our shielding materials, we partner with accredited third-party laboratories specializing in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. These labs utilize industry-standard protocols to measure shielding effectiveness across a wide frequency range, providing credible, unbiased data.
Our Faraday bags are manufactured using materials rigorously tested to IEEE 299-2006 standards—recognized worldwide for evaluating the shielding effectiveness of enclosures and materials.
We also utilize shielding fabrics certified by Keystone Compliance, a globally respected EMC laboratory. Their results confirm our materials meet and exceed military-grade shielding benchmarks such as MIL‐STD‐188‐125‐2 and IEEE 299-2006.
Our Scientific Testing Protocols
Each product undergoes a multi-phase testing protocol to ensure superior performance and long-term reliability. These tests include:
- Shielding Effectiveness: Evaluated across a wide frequency spectrum to measure attenuation against electromagnetic threats.
- Material Composition: Analysis of conductive properties such as copper and nickel content to ensure material integrity and uniformity.
- Durability Under Stress: Environmental simulations test the material’s performance under extreme conditions including heat, humidity, and mechanical strain.
Engineered for Certainty
We go beyond marketing claims—our products are engineered, tested, and independently verified to deliver real-world performance. This unwavering commitment to scientific excellence ensures our customers receive shielding they can trust.
