The Belly Guard — conductive shielding apron

A wrap-front apron constructed from all-silver-fibre shielding fabric, cut for wear over the torso. Designed for anyone who chooses to reduce the radio-frequency energy reaching a specific area of the body — at a desk, in transit, or at home.

Performance

The shielding fabric attenuates radio-frequency energy reaching the area it covers, while the apron is in place and intact. Attenuation is measured in decibels across frequency and reported as a curve — not as a single percentage, because a single number without a frequency attached is meaningless.

Coverage — what to expect

This is an apron, not a sealed enclosure. It attenuates energy reaching the area it covers. It does not shield areas it does not cover, and it does not affect sources on the inside. Conductive textiles also do not shield low-frequency magnetic fields from building wiring or appliances — those require ferromagnetic materials, which we do not supply.

Care

Machine wash on a delicate cold cycle. No bleach and no fabric softener — both degrade conductive fibre. Air dry flat. Do not iron.
